The Affiliated Chambers of Commerce of Greater Springfield, Inc. is pleased to announce that Howard Fineman, chief political correspondent, Newsweek Magazine will provide the keynote address at the Chamber’s annual Outlook program to be held February 10, 2006, at 11:45 a.m. at Chez Josef in Agawam.Outlook 2006, made possible through the sponsorship efforts of presenting sponsor Health New England, platinum sponsors Berkshire Bank, the Eastern States Exposition, MassMutual Financial Group, United Personnel Services Inc., and Western Massachusetts Electric Company, and sound sponsor Zasco Productions, LLC, provides an opportunity to candidly address legislative issues impacting national, state and local politics and economies. Fineman will provide a focused and insightful look at the current condition of our national issues.
Howard Fineman is listed in Forbes Media Guide as “a standout in the press corps.” His is Newsweek’s chief political correspondent, senior editor, and Deputy Washington bureau chief. He has covered every president since Jimmy Carter. Fineman will break down Washington’s latest political developments and how they affect Pioneer Valley businesses. His remarks are often filled with humor and insight. He will add his predictions on what is to come on Capitol Hill this year.
Along with Mr. Fineman's work at Newsweek, he is often seen on major news programs on NBC, MSNBC, and CNBC, including Hardball with Chris Mathews, Dateline, The Today Show, and The News with Brian Williams. He is also a regular on the nationally syndicated Imus in the Morning radio show. U.S. Congressman Richard E. Neal will introduce Fineman during the Outlook program. Massachusetts Lt. Governor Kerry Healey will provide the state outlook, and Northampton Mayor Mary Clare Higgins the regional outlook.
Outlook 2006 will take place February 10 at Chez Josef beginning with a social hour at 11:15 a.m., and the program beginning at 11:45 a.m. Tickets are $40 for members of the Affiliated Chambers of Commerce of Greater Springfield and $60 for nonmembers. Tables of 10 are available. Reservations must be made in writing and in advance.
