Business Succession Planning Focus of June Lunch n Learn
June 6, 2018SPRINGFIELD, Mass., May 14, 2018 – The Springfield Regional Chamber’s June 19 Lunch ‘n Learn program will focus on Business Succession Planning and the various stages of a business that should trigger succession planning conversations. The seminar will be presented by Attorneys Michele J. Feinstein, Michael A. Fenton, and David K. Webber, of Shatz, Schwartz and Fentin, P.C.
The event will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Colony Club, 1500 Main Street, Springfield and is underwritten by the Regional Employment Board of Hampden County.
The presentation will highlight the various stages of a business that should trigger succession planning conversations, including entity formation, taking on new partners, material changes to the business, and planning for the retirement of an owner. In addition, the presentation will include discussion of three options for transferring the business: sale to an independent third party, transfer to family members, or a sale to employees.
Reservations for the Lunch ‘n Learn are $30 for members ($35 at the door) and $40 for general admission ($45 at the door) and include lunch, presentation and question and answer session.
