ACCGS Announces 2009 Super 60
September 30, 2009The Affiliated Chambers of Commerce of Greater Springfield, Inc. (ACCGS) is pleased to announce this year’s winners of the annual Super 60 Award in the categories of revenue growth and total revenue.
Now in its twentieth year, the ACCGS award honors the fastest-growing, privately-held companies in the region for their significant contributions to strength of the regional economy. Companies eligible for the award must be independent, privately-owned businesses, be based in either Hampden or Hampshire counties or be a member of the ACCGS, be in business for at least three full years and produce revenues of at least $1 million in the last fiscal year.
This year’s revenue winners combined for close to $1 billion in the 2008 fiscal year, with average revenue exceeding $19 million for all participants and over $32 million for the top 30 companies. Two companies also qualified for the Growth category. 53% of the top 30 companies revenue exceeded $20 million.
The average growth for this year’s Growth category winners is over 25% for all participants, and over 40% for the top 30. 73% of the companies had growth in excess of 20% and 23% of companies had growth in excess of 60%. Three companies also qualified for the revenue category. 65% of this year’s winners are Chamber members with the following breakdown by affiliate: West of the River Chamber – 9 honorees, East of the River 5 Town Chamber- 8 honorees, and Springfield Chamber- 22 honorees.
