Committees

Ambassadors Committee

Members of the Ambassadors Committee volunteer their time throughout the year as goodwill ambassadors for the ACCGS and its affiliates. Ambassadors partner with Chamber members on an ongoing basis as new members join the ACCGS to ensure that the ACCGS is meeting the needs of all its members.

As well, ambassadors organize and participate in the monthly After 5 and Breakfast Club events. The Breakfast Club pays tribute to individuals, business firms and organizations for their major contributions to civic and economic growth, and for actions which reflect honor on the Greater Springfield community. After 5 events attract up to 300 attendees to each event. The After 5 provides increased marketing exposure to member businesses through sponsorship or networking at the event.

Committee members meet throughout the year on the third Thursday of each month. For information on the Ambassadors Committee, contact Cecile Larose at (413) 755-1313 or larose@myonlinechamber.com.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee sets policy, strategy and direction for recruitment of new Chamber members and retention of existing Chamber members in an effort to create a larger, stronger and more viable business organization.

Committee members meet throughout the year on the last Wednesday of each month. For information on the Membership Committee, contact the chamber at (413) 787-1555.

Legislative Steering Committee

It is the legislative policy of the Affiliated Chambers of Commerce of Greater Springfield to not only be reactive but be proactive in the federal, state and local political arenas. The Legislative Steering Committee identifies those issues of major concern to the business community, researches the issues and recommends positions on them. The Committee is also charged with educating members on these issues, soliciting member support and encouraging elected officials to adopt the Chamber's position.

Committee members meet throughout the year on the second Friday of each month. A listing of these meetings can be found on our Events Calendar. For information on the Legislative Steering Committee, contact Jeffrey Ciuffreda at (413) 755-1312 or ciuffreda@myonlinechamber.com.

Golf Tournament Committee

The Golf Tournament Committee produces the ACCGS' golf tournament held in July each year - a sold out event with over 144 golfers participating.

Committee members meet once a month from April through July. Members recruit sponsors, foursomes and volunteer during the tournament in a variety of capacities. For information on the Golf Tournament Committee, contact Cecile Larose at (413) 755-1313 or larose@myonlinechamber.com.

Professional Women's Chamber

The Professional Women's Chamber promotes the status of women within the Affiliated Chambers of Commerce, and in the business community at-large. It provides leadership opportunities, fosters business relationships among its members and ensures the involvement of women in current business, economic and community issues.

The Professional Women's Chamber hosts five luncheon/networking events featuring engaging speakers and topics, offering members the opportunities for marketing exposure as well as the chance for members to meet and network. The PWC also hosts the annual Professional Women's Chamber Expo, a scholarship fundraiser and the prestigious Woman of the Year banquet.

A schedule of the Professional Women's Chamber events is available on our Events Calendar. For information on the sponsorship opportunities available to Professional Women's Chamber members, contact Lynn Johnson at (413) 755-1310 or johnson@myonlinechamber.com.
